How to Purchase
Pick out the reptile(s) on the available page that you would like to order. E-mail us with the corresponding number associated with that animal. We also need at that time your full name, mailing address, phone number and email address. We will get back to you with the total cost of the animal(s) and the shipping costs to your area. After you have received your total, use Paypal to send the total amount of your order to sarah@lunargecko.net. The only other forms of payment we will accept are money orders (via mail) or cash (in person). When we have received the payment, we will contact you to set up a pickup or shipping date. If you have a preferred shipping date please let us know.
Shipping
We normally use ShipYourReptiles.com, which allows us to ship UPS Next Day Delivery, guaranteeing delivery in most areas by 10:30am. Unless otherwise noted, shipping usually costs $50 or less and is not included in the price of the animal. When you inquire about an animal, we will provide you with the total cost including shipping. We ship Mondays, Tuesdays and sometimes Wednesdays each week. We do not ship animals on Thursdays or Fridays. We will not ship animals if the reported temperature at our location or yours is below 40 degrees Fahrenheit or over 80 degrees or during other extreme weather conditions. We cannot guarantee weather conditions. In some cases we will use cold or heat packs but this is at our discretion. If your location is a "rural route" you are responsible for informing us at the time we are arranging shipping. We monitor the weather and reserve the right to postpone any scheduled shipments if we believe conditions to be unsafe for the animal. If we ask and believe your shipping situation warrants a UPS Hub and/or customer service location pick up (including but not limited to rural routes) and you decline all shipping and health guarantees are void.
We guarantee live arrival for all animals when the following conditions are met:
- Adult signature for the animal upon first delivery attempt.
- Temperatures are 40-80 degrees in the area that the animal is being delivered.
- If picking up at a UPS Hub Location pickup is done before 11:00 am.
If you meet all the above conditions and receive an animal that is DOA (proof may be required), please contact us within three hours of the animal's arrival. A refund or replacement will be made at our discretion. If you do not contact us (sending an email or leaving a message counts as contact) within three hours of arrival, we regret that we will not be able to issue a refund or replacement.
7-Day Health Guarantee
Every reptile we sell is guaranteed to be in perfect health for seven days from the time of leaving our home. In the event that you believe your new animal to be sick, you must contact us as soon as possible so that we can try to help you remedy the problem. We cannot make exceptions to the seven day term, sorry. A refund or replacement will be made at our discretion. Proof of reptiles condition my be required.
Holds
Any animal that we have for sale maybe placed on hold for a period of 7 days with a deposit of 30-50% of the cost of the animal. If you need less or more of a hold time please contact us and we can see about working something out. Extended holds of over 30 days (not including delays in shipping due to weather) will have a fee of $10 per 30 days added to the final cost of the animal. This fee covers the cost of care, food and housing during that time. All deposits are nonrefundable.
Trades
If you would like to make a trade for any reptile we offer, please send us an email with your offer and pictures. If we come to an agreement, then any animals or goods must be received by us before we ship the reptile(s) to you at your cost and received by us before we ship any reptile(s) and/or goods. We reserve the right to send back any goods to you if, after inspection by us, they are deemed to be not as described and/or in the case of live animals, unhealthy and/or not as described. The returning cost of any animals or trade goods will be charged to you. After we have received and deemed the trade in good standing we will ship our end of the trade to you at our cost.
